Elisabeth on her composition: When I met Sotiris to discuss this project, he told me that he wanted "something that comes from far away," without knowing that most of my compositions begin with this exact indication written on the score. I immediately heard the beginning of the piece, entirely in natural harmonics, as an echo of the ancient Greek music of the spheres, with the proportions of pure intervals discovered and theorized by Pythagoras. The desire to connect this musical heritage with the timbre and resonance of the electric guitar, fueled by my collaboration with Sotiris, inspired me throughout the composition.
