Listening and Responding to Public Interest: A Mathsci-comm Network [TGM156] | Thursday 27th January

This one-day in-person workshop, organised on behalf of the Mathsci-comm Network, will explore how the communication of research in mathematics and data science to non-experts can move away from experts sharing their knowledge with wider audiences to enabling dialogue with these audiences. We will also aim to explore communications training for researchers and next steps for the Network. Background In traditional mathematics and science communication it is assumed that the flow of information runs from experts to non-experts.
