Celebrations during Mardi Gras have been rapidly growing across Louisiana in recent years, but the Trump administration’s new trade policies with China are dramatically raising prices on common beads and trinkets. Dealers who sell imported Mardi Gras supplies are using inventory and storage to keep prices low, but parade floats could still be looking at twice the normal costs.
