WARREN, Ohio – Housing shortages across the Mahoning Valley are prompting business, government and development leaders to pursue new strategies to boost supply and affordability. A regional housing council, recent market study and expanded public funding tools aim to add 1,000 units over five years. Plus, economic uncertainty is the top constraint on Ohio’s manufacturing growth, according to a report released Monday by the Manufacturing Advocacy and Growth Network. And Weiqing Ge, a professor of graduate studies in health and rehabilitation sciences at Youngstown State University, has received the Dr. Ronnie Leavitt Award for Leadership in the Promotion of Social Responsibility from the American Physical Therapy Association Academy of Leadership and Innovation.
