Hyperlexia is usually present in a child with association memory that is stronger than typical children. Not only is this strong association memory present but reading before talking is also a common sign. When a child recognizes letters and is great at puzzles, this usually also can lead to possible hyperlexia too. In today’s video I want to talk about how hyperlexia is related to autism, and a couple experiences I’ve had with previous clients who had hyperlexia.
