This is the beginning of a semester of inorganic chemistry at the 400 level. Today's video is shorter because we were going through the logistics of class before we started recording. In this lecture we talked a bit about inorganic chemistry and why it's important, atomic number, mass number, isotopes, relative atomic mass, early quantum mechanics, Planck's equation, the Rydberg equation, hydrogen spectral series, the time independent Schrodinger equation in one and three dimensions, eigenvalue equations, and began our solution of a particle in an infinite square well.
