Sweet Satsuma Shave Soap by Valerie Mosher - ALWAYS make sure you put through a Soap Calculator before using! I soaped this formula at 38% lye liquid and Super Fatted at 5% upfront and added 10% SF after the cook. Used Sodium Lactate at 6% of oils and I “did not” discount this amount from my lye liquid. I added the Sodium Lactate after the cook and at room temperature. Also added 10% glycerin after the cook. This was a 1lb batch of soap, with “dual” lyes - 40% NAOH and 60% KOH. Formula for 1lb batch: Apricot Kernel Oil - 7% Castor Oil - 17% Coconut Oil (76 deg) - 3% Crisco, new w/palm - 2% Kokum Butter - 3% Mango Seed Butter - 3% Shea Butter - 10% Stearic Acid - 50% Tallow, Beef - 5% Lye Liquid amount (at 38%) = 6.25oz (I rounded this up) Sodium Hydroxide at 40% (lye – NaOH) = 0.85 oz Potassium Hydroxide at 60% (lye-KOH, 90% pure) = 1.95 oz Total lye liquid = 6.25 oz *** I used for the lye 3oz of distilled water and 1oz of Aloe Vera Juice. I also added 1.25oz of sugar free coconut milk, and 1oz of Hemp Milk (warm) after the cook (the milks were discounted from the lye liquid amount). 10% more Super Fat after cook = I used Apricot Kernel Oil, Hemp Oil, Borage Oil, Sea Buckthorn Oil Meadowfoam Oil & Shea Butter (you can use what you like or SF all of it up front or all after the cook) 1 Tbsp white sugar mixed with 1 tbsp ACV, dissolved and added hot after the cook 2 tsp honey, and 1 tsp lanolin, with 1 tsp AVJ and added warm after the cook 1 Tbsp Plain Greek Yogurt (cold or room temperature) added after cook 6%Sodium lactate of total amount of oils added at room temp. after cook. 10% glycerin add after cook. ½ - 1tsp Vitamin E Oil Feel free to use and sell your soap, but please do not sell the “formula”  Hope you enjoy!
