This is the public promo that I thought it was time to share from GDC 2016 in San Francisco, used to highlight some of the work done in the Toronto studio. Clips are taken from my animation talk on the technique of "Motion Matching". Which is able to take organised mocap or keyframe data and create a full responsive player controlled character. This is NOT from a game in development and was from a fun tech demo created by a small number of people to show off the potential the technology has and process of how we created it. The plan was to find a way to improve overall locomotion quality, look and feel with maximum efficiency with a small amount of effort, and it proved to be very successful.
