What are some benefits of being in God’s presence? ——————————————————————— DEVOTIONAL: When you remain in God's presence, you have freedom, joy, and courage to face whatever life brings your way. Do not be discouraged when challenges come - you always have help at your side. Be strong in the knowledge that God is with you. ——————————————————————— GOD'S RESPONSE: Now, the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, He gives freedom. ~2 Corinthians 3:17 You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of Your presence and the pleasures of living with You forever. ~Psalm 16:11 I command you-be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God Is with you wherever you go. ~Joshua 1:9 ——————————————————————— GOD'S PROMISE: When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. ~Isaiah 43:2 ——————————————————————— PERSONAL TAKEAWAY: There is peace when you are in God’s presence. He’s peaceful and that’s that. Understanding this helps now to clearly distinguish situations that are being controlled by you or your allowing God to lead. God is always with us, but in order for peace to come to fruition, you MUST let Him lead. When we lead, the outcome is never peace because of our nature of wickedness. We don’t have the ability to create peace but we are capable of stepping out of the way and allowing peace to come. Denying your ego Speaking less Steering away from gossiping Being slow to anger Quick to listen Being open to wisdom & advice Knowing you’re capable of wrongdoing Accepting that Jesus is your Lord is not a way of restraint but rather an invitation for Him to lead your life the way the Father led His. Thank you Father for your love and your everlasting presence. I feel you. I hear you. I see you. I accept you. I invite you.
