We’re pairing it with a cool raita, because no desi rice dish is complete without it! 🔥 This recipe brings together: Tender chicken simmered in traditional masalas Fluffy, aromatic rice that absorbs all the flavours A refreshing curd raita to balance the heat 🍴 Perfect for Sunday lunches, family dinners, or any day you crave that Hyderabadi touch! 👉 Don’t forget to like, share, and subscribe if you love homestyle food ❤️ 🍗 Chicken Tahari Recipe Ingredients: 1 cup basmati rice (washed & soaked 15 mins) 300g chicken (bone-in preferred) 2 tbsp oil or ghee 1 large onion, sliced thin 1 tomato, chopped 1 green chilli, slit 1½ tsp ginger-garlic paste ½ cup curd 1 tsp red chilli powder ½ tsp turmeric 1 tsp garam masala 1 tsp coriander powder Salt to taste 2 cups water Fresh coriander & mint (for garnish) Steps: Heat oil in a pot, add onions and sauté till golden brown. Add ginger-garlic paste and fry for a minute. Add chicken pieces, cook till lightly browned. Mix in tomatoes, curd, and all dry spices — cook till masala thickens and oil separates. Add soaked rice and water. Stir gently. Cover and cook on low flame till rice and chicken are done (10–15 mins). Fluff, garnish with coriander and mint, and rest before serving. 🥣 Raita Recipe Ingredients: 1 cup curd (whisked) ½ onion (chopped) ½ cucumber (chopped or grated) Salt to taste ½ tsp roasted cumin powder Black pepper & mint leaves for garnish Steps: Mix all ingredients in a bowl. Chill and serve alongside the Tahari.
