I finally made a call I’ve been circling for months: I’m abandoning personalized points in the Alignment Economy. This video is me thinking out loud about why. I wanted personalized points to solve real problems: bots flooding the system media profiting from outrage medicine profiting from sickness AI drifting out of alignment contribution vs. consumption On paper, personalized currencies look powerful. In practice, they collapse into something ugly: social credit systems, moral scoring, impossible exchange rates, and a growing class of “untouchables.” The core issue is this: To personalize points, you have to encode truth, morality, or judgment into money. And history says that always breaks—either centrally or socially. So instead, I’m keeping the system simple and neutral: every human gets the same base units points are fungible no moral scoring baked into money And I’m exploring a different layer on top: contracts with skin in the game pay a little now, more later if outcomes are real escrow + bonding for media, medicine, and AI claims incentives tied to results, not narratives For bots, I’m leaning toward: percent-human verification vouching with penalties retroactive deletion of bot-generated value accepting that this is a cat-and-mouse game, not a solvable purity test I’m not fully convinced this is right — but I’m convinced the old path was wrong. Questions I genuinely want help with: Is abandoning personalized points a mistake? Can outcome-based contracts really fix media, medicine, and AI incentives? Is bot contamination fatal to a universal airdrop system—or just noise we can manage? Where does this still feel naïve or dangerous? If you think I’m missing something, say it bluntly. If you think this breaks, tell me where. If you’ve thought about this longer than I have, I want to talk. Drop a comment. Or jump into Discord / discord and argue with me there. This system only gets better if it gets attacked.
