These Myofascial Stretching & self-care videos are intended to complement the direct OT services and assessment of an experienced therapist. This isometric exercise (or self-mobilization technique) is a home exercise to follow up on a right femoral upslip (or functionally short leg). Clinically, ~90-95% of my clients present with a right femoral upslip. (If you know that you have a left femoral upslip, reverse phase 1 of this technique and follow along with phase 2.) If you know that you have a pattern of a right anterior ilia rotation and a right femoral upslip, correct the anterior rotation exercise first, then the upslip corrective exercise. Repeat as often as needed throughout the day to help stabilize your pelvis.
