Week 5 of Ironman Training- Starting Marathon Training with a base This week begins week 1 of my 16 week marathon training plan. I am used to coming into spring race training with little to no base, so I am pumped to be where I am at currently. Don't worry, I won't only be running- I am still working on improving my biking and swimming (especially swimming) as we inch closer to Ironman Wisconsin. This week features some fun, including another new continuous swimming PR, volunteering for a race, an 11 mile long run at a pretty speedy pace (for me) and much more. Next week, my main goal is to swim 600 yards continuously.
