Visiting Shiloh Cemetery in Withlacoochee State Forest

I visited this African American cemetery in Withlacoochee State Forest, a beautiful resting place here in the Florida wilderness. The cemetery was established some time ago in the late 1800's or early 1900's I am not exactly sure. It is known as Shiloh in Citrus County and Russell Hill in Hernando County. For many years it was in disuse but appears to be active again or at least maintained by surviving family members and volunteers. Special thanks to Friends and Neighbors of Shiloh Cemetery for installing the benches and gate at the entrance.
