Everyone loves working with buttons, and it's a great way to use up old buttons as well as vintage buttons and beads. Crafting buttons can also be bought and used for this project. This is a fun, easy creative project suitable for children, teens and adults. Simply glue down buttons onto a photo frame to decorate it, or make a button picture to go into the frame, or button your initial. This video shows how to button your initial, using an initial template cut out of paper. Materials needed for this project include: Photo frame (video shows a 6 inch by 4 inch photo frame). Buttons (new or recycled). Glue such as PVA glue, Elmer's, or basic non-toxic glue. Small paint brush, to apply glue. Water to clean paintbrush. Optional: A piece of decorative card paper to go into your frame, which you will glue your buttons to if crafting your initial in buttons. Optional: small shiny beads, sequins or rhinestones to add sparkle and a finishing touch to your piece. Tip: a toothpick is handy to help position small beads, sequins or rhinestones. You could also use mod podge instead of PVA glue. This basic crafting video introduces how easy it is to button craft your initial on to a photo frame, to hang on the wall, or display on a shelf. It's a great weekend crafting project that all ages will enjoy and a great family craft activity! It's a great lockdown, stay at home activity. This is a very cost effective project.
