The Joint IAEA-WHO Webinar on Medical follow up: Lessons learned from case studies was held on 20 April 2021. It was organized by the Incident and Emergency Center of the IAEA (IEC/IAEA) and Radiation and Health Unit of the WHO (RAD/WHO). The aim of this joint webinar was to provide health care workers and medical professionals with the knowledge on different aspects of long-term follow up of persons who survived radiation injuries as a result of nuclear or radiological emergencies. This webinar will include presentations of case studies demonstrating the experience and lessons from the individual medical follow-up of persons involved in nuclear and radiological emergencies and accidentally exposed to ionizing radiation. This webinar will cover topics featured on the EPR Medical follow-up (Experience and Lessons from the Individual Medical Follow-up of Persons Involved in a Nuclear or Radiological Emergency) (in publication).
