After the excitement of the Chinnor & Princes Risborough Diesel Gala    • Chinnor and Princes Risborough DIESEL...   we caught some steam action today over at the Avon Valley Railway! Having been the regular service loco for the last two seasons, Hunslet Austerity No 3839 'Wimblebury' was in the yard at Bitton, ready to return by road to the Foxfield Railway, and steam services on the Avon Valley are being covered until at least June, by Hudswell Clarke No. 1731 / Samuel Fox & Co Ltd’s No. 20 'Jennifer', currently visiting from the Aln Valley Railway and recently out-shopped following work at the Flour Mill. The locomotive looked resplendent in the glorious Saturday Sunshine today, with busy trains and local residents to the Bristol and Bath postcode area enjoying a steam hauled train journey between Bitton, Oldland Common and Avon Riverside, along the old Midland Railway!
