Day 23 of My OSCP Journey: Halfway Through My Offsec Course Material

On Day 23 of my OSCP+ journey, I finally hit the halfway mark in the course and realized I’d rushed past a lot of fundamentals that actually matter. In this video I talk honestly about rewinding the tape: going back to basics like DNS enumeration (simple host -t queries I was skipping), really understanding local file inclusion and directory traversal (not just ../ patterns, but why we’d hit access logs, tweak user agents, and drop commands), and tightening up my note‑taking in Obsidian so things actually stick. I walk through how I’m using external resources (docs, search, AI) now, knowing they won’t be there on exam day, but to help build deeper intuition, not shortcuts. I also share why I started touching machines early instead of waiting until the very end of the course, and how periodic pause / reflect / re‑plan moments are helping me pivot my study approach instead of blindly grinding forward.
