In this video I tackle the challenge of shooting white on white, showing how to achieve stunning results with one, two, or three lights. With one light, I bounce it off white walls to create a soft, wrapping effect, adding negative fill for more detail. Introducing a second light allows me to layer exposures, ensuring both the dress and face are perfectly lit. With three lights, I achieve a pure white background by using two strobes with umbrellas for even illumination, while the main light adds contrast and texture to the subject. The more lights I use, the more control I have over the scene, transforming a daunting task into a creative opportunity! 👇 Drop a comment below and let me know your thoughts on which setup is you favorite! 💡Lighting One-light setup: Main light: Profoto D2 bounced into the corner of the room (using white walls and ceiling) to create a large, soft, wrapping light source. Negative fill: Black V-flats (V-flat World 2.0) placed on either side of the subject to absorb light and add separation/contrast. Two-light setup: Main light: Profoto D2 bounced into the corner of the room (as above) to expose the dress and background. Second light: White beauty dish with a grid, positioned to illuminate the subject’s face, allowing for separate control of face exposure. Three-light setup: Background lights: Two strobes with small umbrellas, placed on either side of the background and backed up to evenly light the white background (Savage Universal super white). Main light: White beauty dish (without grid) on the left-hand side, used to light the subject head-to-toe. Optional: Negative fill (black V-flats) can be added to control light spill and increase edge contrast. 📸 Gear: ✅ Canon EOS R5: https://prf.hn/l/7oZobqW/ ✅ Canon RF 24-105 2.8: https://prf.hn/l/55AEzkR/ ✅ Profoto D2: (discontinued, linking to new D3): https://prf.hn/l/K9ENnmk/ ✅ Profoto Beauty dish kit + grid: https://prf.hn/l/rpZO1J5/ ✅ Westcott Optical Spot w/ kit lens: https://prf.hn/l/G9DRROp/ ✅ Tiffen 4 point star filter: https://prf.hn/l/xE1AW0N/ ✅ Savage Universal Fashion Gray Background: https://prf.hn/l/7gzpjPy/ ✅ Profoto Air Remote: https://prf.hn/l/Kz4yPNW/ ✅ Reel EFX RE Fan 2 Turbo https://prf.hn/l/55DLB3x/ ✅ Avenger D600 boom arm: https://prf.hn/l/EJDBPD2/ ✅ Savage C-Stand: https://prf.hn/l/kV0wEB3/ ✅ Rosco Creative Effects Gel Kit: https://prf.hn/l/7gzpR9a/ ✅ Tether Tools TetherBoost Pro 31' USB-C to Micro-B Cable, Orange Right Angle: https://prf.hn/l/6kvRQlz/ 🔥 Interested in learning more about these looks check out my lighting guides: http://learn.lindsayadlerphotography.... ---- 👉 Portfolio: http://lindsayadlerphotography.com 👉 Instagram: / lindsayadler_photo 👉 Facebook: / lindsayadlerphotography 👉 Twitter: / lindsayadler 👉 Education: http://learn.lindsayadlerphotography.com Some of the links in this description contain affiliate links to partners.
