Day 19 Locations: Jidoor, Owzer's House, Narshe, Cultists Tower, Doma Castle, Cyan's Dreams, Umaro's Cave Steps Taken: 41,596 Playtime: 1:01 Total Playtime: 20:08 Characters: Celes (L21) Terra (L21) Sabin (L20) Edgar (L20) Shadow (L20) Gau (L20) Cyan (L20) Mog (L25) Got a good amount done today. Started off at the Owzer's place in Jidoor to battle Chadarnook and recruit Relm, which also gives me the Starlet Magicite. Useful for anyone with underdeveloped curing spells and the only way to learn Cure 3 right now. Chadarnook was overall easy despite Gau not being so helpful. He at least ensured Shadow would survive a Condemned with Life 3 when Chadar switched out and I hit the woman; you only want to hit the demon. Lots of HP, but very weak to fire and Bum Rush does so much. Grabbed a Dark Gear before leaving Jidoor and headed to Narshe. Back in Narshe, I went into the cave and found Mog. All the chests you didn't grab are much better now, especially the Pod Bracelet and Hero Ring. I did forget the Moogle Charm and had to go back for it. I'd just warped out of Narshe after that, put Relm in my party and recruited Strago at the Cultists Tower. The darkness of the world and believing his granddaughter died had him join the Cult of Kefka, so it takes Relm to snap him out of it and join the group. This is where I should've grabbed the treasure with Mog, especially given his weapon when I headed over to Doma was a Mithril Pike. Made sure to put him in the 3rd party slot so that I'd have him when I gained control within Cyan's Dreams. The 3 Dream Stooges are up next, and minus Sabin, this is a sucky party. Mog is just kind of there to prevent encounters, but sometimes I took off the Moogle Charm just to fill in empty Veldt tables. You can only encounter some of these enemies once after all. The Stooges didn't go too great, and I don't know why I put Dragoon Boots on Mog, who kept getting stoned. Sabin luckily was targeting Curley who can use Life 2. I did have Shadow toss a Super Ball at one point, expecting good damage but it only did around 500. For all of what Sabin brought to this battle, it's too bad he didn't leave it alive. Next was through the Phantom Train again which has some good treasures. Back to Doma, Elaine and Owain appear explaining how Cyan's been torturing himself, this makes him vulnerable to Wrexsoul, a monster after, well, his soul. Before the fight, I did wander around Doma triggering mini scenes that most players miss, and they're so important to see. In fact, it should've been a requirement, that's less cryptic than the cave puzzle. Anyway, Wrexsoul I could've fought the normal way to get a Pod Bracelet, but at this level, no way. I used the X-Zone trick, which wasn't working in my favor and took several tries more than usual. Now that Wrexsoul's gone, Cyan can free himself of his doubts and you get all of his SwdTechs without having to level up, and an Aura. They should've made it Cyan's ultimate weapon instead, because I'll just end up betting his wife at the Colosseum. Went to the Cultists Tower after this to get all the treasures and beat the White Dragon. At 45:54, the video got cut up somehow before getting the last treasure of Force Armor, so I just pasted a screenshot of myself grabbing it. Good stuff overall though, especially the Pearl Lance. White Dragon wasn't hard or exactly interesting. You can cast Mute on it and make it easy, I didn't have great magic though, and if my brain were working, I'd have at least put Earrings on Shadow. It took a little while to kill with level 2 spells and comically died to just Ice. After this, it was back to Narshe to deal with the Ice Dragon and the frozen Esper Tritoch from the start of the game. Both were extremely easy as they're very weak to fire, though I didn't even know Ice Dragon could be confused, ultimately how it died. Tritoch is mega weak to fire, so he went down fast. Decided I'd go to Umaro's Cave after, but not before a few encounters to have Celes learn Muddle, as I wanted to use the Muddle/Phantom trick on the Pugs to get a Minerva. But...I didn't get ONE! It's a common drop, too, I tend to get 1-3. Forgot you could steal them too, so if I find them on the Veldt, I'll take it. I did encounter a lone Pug in the cave which helps, never have before, but I just ran, grabbed the Terrato Magicite and battled Umaro, very easy. Figured I won't really use him, so his level is fine. A good amount done in a short span, I left Narshe and ended Day 19.
