Day 21 Locations: Colosseum, The Veldt, Beneath Figaro Castle, Odin's Castle Steps Taken: 45,304 Playtime: 54 minutes Total Playtime: 21:56 Characters: Celes (L22) Terra (L23) Sabin (L21) Strago (L21) Relm (L20) Edgar (L22) Shadow (L23) Gau (L20) Setzer (L20) Locke (L20) Mog (L26) Rendering error again, so a few times it drops to 30FPS. It seems trimming/editing down can do this for some reason? Barely happens though. Without any major things left to do, I started at the Colosseum betting a Regal Crown for a Genji Helmet, Crystal Mail for Ice Shield, Chocobo for a Moogle Suit, Moogle Suit for Nutkin Suit and Nutkin Suit for another Genji Armor. Easy encounters overall, minus Veteran who can keep killing you with Roulette. Terra was a GENIUS to cast Mute on it the 2nd fight, my hopes weren't too high after she tried to cast Life on herself... Used the Wall Ring trick on Madam again, only I killed her with an attack by mistake. When Flare was reflecting back, I stopped running for a moment to see what Terra was doing and forgot she'll fight if you do this. She did die at the Veteran once for the Moogle Suit, but this worked in my favor when I flew over to the Veldt after and it was on Senior Behemoth so I got my Behemoth Suit so Strago & Relm have one. I could get a Snow Muffler, but that's just cheap, dangerous attacks doing 1 damage. If I get another Suit, I'll maybe have the Snow Muffler as backup if needed. Encountered the White Dragon after this which I just took the 10 MP for, then it reset to table 1 and I ditched. Dying at the Colosseum worked in my favor, but it would've only taken a few encounters for Behemoth given it'd skip most tables up to there. Decided to tackle the Underwater Figaro section next, choosing not to bring Sabin because it'd make everything too cheap. Well, I was regretting that when I got to Master Pug who should've won, I just gave up and got lucky, plus the Minerva and Magic Block bug led to some unfair dodges or taking no damage. I did get lucky when it became weak to Pearl before Mog came back down, so this did good damage. Once it was down to just Terra, I simply was going to do a 2nd try after, but Riot Blade, the only Desperation Attack I've had so far got me there. I looked at my items after and knew I had to leave to get more and at least grabbed Edgar for discounts in Figaro. I'd only brought Locke because I haven't used him yet, but he was no help. Edgar's Noise Blaster could've 1 shot Katana Soul if it were too problematic anyway. He was, at least because I had enough GP for GP Rain to be deadly, but I wasn't going to do this without gaining a few levels 1st, so that took me 2 tries. Still was a pretty close call, but Mog saved the day. Found the secret switch and grabbed the Odin Magicite which I won't level to Raiden. After doing some reading about love between a human and Esper, Terra makes a remark. She's had motherly love, but romantic love with a human not yet. An interesting tidbit anyone who didn't bring Terra'd miss. After this, I went down to fight the Blue Dragon, which was really just Shadow & Terra's fight. Thrown Thunder Blades and overpowered Bolt 2 helped, plus water doesn't hurt Terra with the Minerva. Having grabbed everything, I returned to the surface and flew the Falcon around for a bit. It took like 5 minutes to find Doom Gaze, but I was right; 1 attack and he was done. It helped it was Fire 3, but even Fire 2 would've done the job. With Doom Gaze out of my way, I finally had the Bahamut Magicite and no having to worry about flying the ship around. I flew towards Maranda after this to do a modest grind, mostly encountering Cactrots. It's too bad I forgot to take Palidor off Edgar when I found like 3 more though. They are pretty frequent enemies, but still, sometimes they won't show for a bit. This is my personal favorite grind spot, you learn spells way faster, get more GP and Hoovers are easy to deal with. They're weak to instant death, so Doom, Snare, Air Anchor (what I used) or X-Zone all work. I did edit out some of the leveling up considering it was a lot of me just stopping, healing, saving, encounter, healing, saving. I'd fought some Crawlys in the grass to level up Edgar with Bismark as to not level Shadow who I also wanted to have it. Once I was done (for now), I flew over to the Triangle Island since I intend to get Gogo tomorrow and finish Magi Master at the Cultists Tower. Once that's done, all I have to do is grind, maybe a few extra things at the Colosseum and watch the other 3 of Shadow's dreams, since I saw 1 of them at the Returner Hideout on Day 4. Saved at the Triangle Island and ended Day 21.
