Several years ago, my belly pooched out and I couldn't do anything to stop it. I was working out, surfing, and eating like I normally do but something had changed. I could tell that there was inflammation and belly fat that I never had before. I worked out more thinking it'll go away but the belly fat was always an issue - The rest of my body looked alright. Then I heard that watermelon had an enzyme that helped reduce stomach fat. (Lipoxygenase and hydroperoxide lyase although it is actually an amino acid L-citrulline in watermelon which is most helpful in giving you a flatter stomach). I started eating watermelon nearly every day and it worked! It was the one thing that I changed in my diet that made the difference, keeping everything else the same (I ate all the same foods I loved including cookies, etc) The one other thing I did which helped was slowly reducing the portions I ate for dinner. Breakfast and lunch were the same as before. So that surely helped a little as well.
