NOTE FROM TED: This talk represents the speaker's personal views and interpretation of creativity and the brain. Research around mirror neurons remains debated by experts working in the field. TEDx events are independently organized by volunteers. The guidelines we give TEDx organizers are described in more detail here: http://storage.ted.com/tedx/manuals/t... Dr. Fernando Reggianini explores the science behind creativity, focusing on how key brain regions like the prefrontal cortex, temporal lobes, and the Default Mode Network contribute to creative thinking. Through engaging stories and scientific insights, the talk highlights how creativity fosters problem-solving, adaptation, and innovation in our daily lives. Practical strategies to unlock creativity, such as mindfulness, divergent thinking, and engaging in hobbies, are also discussed, making it accessible and actionable for everyone. Dr. Reggianini serves as the Clinical Director of the Korea Psychological Group, a leading mental health practice with offices in Seoul and Pyeongtaek. The practice offers a wide range of services, including counseling, psycho-educational evaluations, and consultation for children, adolescents, and adults, with a focus on supporting the international community in South Korea and beyond. Specializing in areas such as acculturation stress among multicultural and third-culture individuals, emotional regulation, social skills development, learning differences, neurodivergence, trauma, and complex cases, Dr. Reggianini brings a comprehensive and compassionate approach to mental health care. As an expert in psycho-educational and neuropsychological evaluations, Dr. Reggianini employs evidence-based methods to identify patterns of strengths and weaknesses, empowering clients to achieve their goals and realize their full potential. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
