Gradually whisk this mixture into the flour until smooth with no lumps. 4. Add the remaining milk until the batter becomes thin and pourable. 5. Add oil or melted butter and mix just enough to combine. 6. Let the batter rest for 10–15 minutes to relax the gluten. 7.
