This is a footage compilation of shortlines running in the New England area assembled by Rail Graphics in 1989. Ripped from videotape (VHS). From the box: "This tape takes a look at two New England shortlines, the Lamoille Valley and the Belfast and Moosehead lake railroads, and their tourist passenger operations. LAMOILLE VALLEY R.R. - See passenger train being paced along route 16 near Greensboro Bend Vermont. Follow train from Greensboro Bend to the Lamoille Valley's headquarters at Morrisville VT., pulled by RS-11 #"3608. Train passes through beautiful scenery, and also crosses the last covered railroad bridge in Vermont, the Fisher bridge near Wolcott Vt. Also see lamoille valley subsidiary Twin State Railroad which operates freight service over 27 miles of leased Maine Central track from St Johnsbury Vt. to Whitefield NH. Train is seen arriving and departing Whitefield with chopnose RS-3 #7805. BELFAST & MOOSEHEAD LAKE R.R. - Passenger train runs from Belfast Maine to Waldo Maine and return, pulled by GE 70 tonner #50. Train also passes through some nice scenery." Digitized using a JVC HR S3911U VCR with s-video output run through a Panasonic ES-15 for its TBC-like stabilization. Captured using an I-O Data GV-USB2 with VirtualDub and deinterlaced with StaxRip.
