North to West Iceland | Iceland in Miniature -Snæfellsnes Peninsula & Kirkjufell Mountain | Day 12

Day 12 of our Iceland Ring Road adventure takes us from the beautiful town of Akureyri in North Iceland all the way to Reykjavik, exploring the breathtaking Snæfellsnes Peninsula along the way. 🌋 We start the morning by saying goodbye to our cozy Airbnb in Akureyri, grabbing snacks at Hagkaup, and driving through the scenic Skagafjörður Valley, famous for its Icelandic horses and peaceful countryside views. From there, we travel west toward the stunning Kirkjufell Mountain and Kirkjufellsfoss Waterfall — one of the most photographed spots in Iceland! 🏔️ Our journey continues across the impressive Viking Sword Bridge (Kolgrafavegur Bridge), past Ólafsvík, and to the historic Ingjaldshóll Church, with Snæfellsjökull Glacier rising majestically behind it. We explore Arnarstapi, walking across Músagjá rift and admiring the natural stone arch Gatklettur, before visiting the striking black church of Búðakirkja in Búðir.
