The lagoon features two geothermal pools — one at 37°C with swim-up bars and another at 40°C for a hotter soak — plus a Finnish dry sauna with panoramic views, and a refreshing cold plunge pool. The water comes straight from a nearby mountain, rich in minerals and naturally heated by Iceland’s geothermal energy. After a relaxing soak, we explore the area and head back to Akureyri for some Chinese takeaway before ending the night at our cozy Airbnb.
