長居紐約、巴黎30年後，江賢二在50多歲時返台，重新找回與故鄉的深厚連結，爆發出前所未有的創作能量。2008年，他搬到台東金樽，大自然與海邊明媚的光線，啟發他從「封窗作畫」走向「引光入畫」，畫風從過去的闇黑濃稠轉為鮮艷奔放。 對建築與立體創作一直情有獨鍾的他，在「江賢二藝術園區」的建造過程中，也以工地廢料為素材創作出全新系列。「台東給了我第二個藝術生命！」江賢二在影片裡親自分享他在台東的創作以及這片土地帶給他的前所未有的自由。 After living in New York and Paris for three decades, Paul Chiang returned to Taiwan in his fifties and rediscovered a deep connection with his homeland—unleashing a new wave of creative energy. In 2008, he moved to Jinzun, Taitung, where the natural surroundings and luminous seaside light inspired a profound transformation in his work—from painting behind shuttered windows to embracing light as part of the canvas. Artworks that were once dark and dense became vibrant and expressive.
