Cabbage Casserole With Sausage Best Southern Country Recipe Cabbage Casserole With Sausage Recipe: Ingredients: 1 medium head of cabbage (chopped) 1 small onion (chopped) 8 Tbsp butter 1 lb. ground sausage 1/3 cup mayo 1 can cream of chicken soup 1 sleeve of Ritz crackers (crushed) 3 Tbsp butter (melted) 1 cup shredded cheese Directions: Place the chopped cabbage, onion and 8 Tbsp of butter in a pan and sauté for about ten minutes until the cabbage is starting to get soft. Brown the sausage in a fryer and drain the grease. In a 9 X 13 casserole dish place the sautéed cabbage and onion. Place the browned sausage on top of the cabbage. Mix the cream of chicken and mayo and then spread on top. Crush the Ritz crackers and mix them in a bowl with the cheese and 3 Tbsp of melted butter. Sprinkle the cheese mixture on top of the casserole. Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Let cool a little before serving. Serve and Enjoy !!!! Marie and Calvin
