Renovating in Tuscany: From Chaos to Construction - Weathering the Storm in Tuscany

Welcome back to Renovating in Tuscany! This past week has been quite an adventure as we found ourselves right in the eye of severe storm 'Ciaran' in the heart of Tuscany. The relentless winds and torrential rain wreaked havoc across the region. Thankfully, our home emerged unscathed. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for some of our surroundings, as the region faced severe flooding due to the sudden, heavy downpour. Our hearts go out to those affected. Just before the storm arrived, we had improvised temporary window barriers to safeguard our space. Regrettably, our bathroom shutter didn't survive the fury, leaving our bathroom exposed. Luckily, there was no significant damage, but there were certainly some nerve-wracking moments. Over the past three weeks, our renovation journey was temporarily put on hold. We apologize for our absence, but here's the good news – our dedicated workers are soon returning to continue our renovation efforts, focusing on completing our bottom floor. We're eagerly looking forward to the day when our kitchen and bottom floor living space are complete, marking a significant milestone in our journey.
