Moong dal halva is traditionally made to serve as sweet dish in weddings in north India .Especially in Rajsthan. #moong #dal #moong dal halwa Ingradients 1.one cup raw yellow moong dal to be washed and soaked for 3 hours 2.one cup pure ghee 3.one cup sugar 4. one cup nuts like almonds and cashew nuts chopped 5.1/4 cup suji 6.Two cups of milk add one cup water and little saffron 7.5 6 cardamom finely powdered method Heat the pan add little ghee.keep the fire on medium slow. add suji and fry till it is slightly brown. suji gives good binding to moong dal halva.swith off the fire and add coarsely ground moong dal.please take precautions that water is not added.stir it.switch on the fire and keep on medium slow fire.abd keep on string.add ghee whenever required.Don't stop sitting. after about 15 to 20 min the mixture will turn brown. add nuts and sugar and still stir further. Add the pre heated milk to the mixture and keep on stiring till it becomes solid and start leaving ghee at the sides.This is the sign that moong dal halva is ready.one can add at this stage 100 gms of mawa and stir it.Otherwise the mava could be heated in ghee and garnish the halwa Moong dal halwa could be garnished with nuts and serve
