Room tour of a Corner Studio of the Hilton The Hague along with lobby, club lounge, restaurant and bar and fitness-centre The hotel is situated within walking distance of the city centre and the Royal Shopping Centre. The Hague Centraal Station is 25 minutes to walk. A bus and tram stop is near the hotel. The hotel opened as newly built hotel in 2010 and has five floors with the top floor being the executive level. On this floor the smallish (long and narrow) lounge is located. It offers several chairs and table and has a terrace during the spring, summer and early autumn. Rooms face either the street or the courtyard with the latter being quieter. Windows could be opened. The lobby is medium sized with armchairs, sofas and tables. It is open to the first floor where the meeting and boardrooms are located. The Blue Bloor Bar with the Blue Blood Restaurant are to the right. Blue Blood Restaurant offers Asian inspired fusion kitchen and Blue Bloor Bar has a nice setting and offers a variety of cocktails among the usual spirits. The fitness centre is quite small given the size of the hotel and lacks weight, but has cardiovascular machines like steppers, bikes and treadmills. The check-in desks are on the left side of the entrance. Two desks are available. I had noticed the day prior to my arrival at the hotel that I was upgraded from the standard room to a Corner Studio facing the courtyard. It was larger than the regular room, which was nice. The upgrade was confirmed during check in and the assigned room was given to me. I was also welcomed as Hilton Honors Diamond member and given information about lounge, breakfast and restaurant. A letter with all details were also presented to me. Three elevators are available to reach the floors. My room was on the fourth floor. A hallway leads from the entrance to the studio. To the left was the bathroom with bath, shower, dual sink and toilet. Separated only by frosted glass from the hallway. To the left was the king size bed with two bedside tables with reading lamps, alarm clock and light switches. Opposite the bed was the tv, which could be rotated so that I also faced the studio part. The living part of the studio consists of an armchair along with a table. The closet was large to store your belongings on a longer business trip. There was also a wet bar with Nespresso Machine. In addition, tea and coffee facilities were located at a built-in shelf next to the windows. The living part was a bit dark, but large. A second armchair or even a sofa would have fitted there without problems. The bathroom was large. The area next to the sink has enough space to store things. Two large, medium and small towels were provided. The mirror was heated. Lotion, bath foam, shampoo and condition were as usual nowadays the larger wall mounted bottles. The shower came with rainforest shower head and the standard shower. Bath robe and slipper were provided in the closet. The only disadvantage was, that there were only two hooks in the bathroom. The room design was warm and comfortable using dark colours making it cozy and charming, but without any local touch. Artwork at the wall showing local (Dutch) motives were the only local touch. In general, a bit old fashioned but also not the average Hilton Design. Room showed some wear and tear, but nothing serious. In general, the room was clean and good maintained. The desk was large enough to use it for work. International outlets were available; unfortunately located underneath the desk which made it a bit difficult to use. USB charging ports were completely missing. I would have liked if at least the outlets at the bedside table would have been changed against those offering a USB plug. The lounge is small, a long but narrow room with an adjacent terrace. It is open from 07:00 to 20:00. Soft drinks, coffee and tea is available throughout the day. In the evening between 17:00 and 19:00 evening snacks are available. There is one hot item (cauliflower / vegetarian quiche during my visit) with cheese, bread, different type of hummus and vegetables. Beer, a red, white and rose wine sparkling wine and spirits were available during this time as well. Breakfast is served in the Blue Blood Restaurant from 06:30 till 10:00 on weekdays and 07:00 till 11:00 on weekends. It offers a buffet with the usual hot (scrambled eggs, sausages, hashed brown, mushroom) and cold items (cheese, salami, salmon, vegetables). In addition, cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruits and pastries are available. Tee and coffee are available from machines. Several egg dishes (no poached eggs) are available on request. A late check out was given without problems and 14:00 was offered – only needed till 13:30 Check-out was fast and points posted correctly. December 2025
