Featuring the amazing Andrew Logan Museum of Sculpture at Berriew in North Powys, to the accompaniment of traditional folk tunes played by local musicians in Mid Wales. Andrew opened the museum, in a former squash court, in 1991, so that he could share his unique approach to life and art with the world. This was our first ever visit to the Andrew Logan Museum of Sculpture - and it’s like walking into a surreal treasure trove of intriguing artwork. We absolutely loved it! The space displays work he has created over the decades, including sculptures, mirrored portraits, watercolours, jewellery and photos from the 1960s to the present day. Andrew Logan is an English sculptor, jeweller and performance artist best known for his work in glass and mirror. His works can be found in collections all around the world. He is also the founder and creator of the Alternative Miss World - a surreal fashion and art event. According to his website: “Andrew Logan belongs to a unique school of English eccentrics… One of Britain’s principal sculptural artists, he challenges convention, mixes media and plays with our artistic values. Since its beginnings, Logan’s work has depended on the inventive use of whatever was to hand. With flair and fantasy he transformed real objects into their new and different versions.” Find out more on the Andrew Logan Museum of Sculpture website - https://andrewloganmuseum.org/home/ Tunes Experimental Da Slockit Light by Tom Anderson Motorway Mazurka by Jon Swayne All played at a traditional music session at Dol Llys Hall, Llanidloes, in summer 2023. _____________________________________________ Greetings from the Tenterhook Times, a slow living gardening and traditional music channel from Jackie and Graham in Mid Wales in the United Kingdom.
