In this recipe, we've made Cholia Aloo. Cholia is fresh Green Chick Peas which is popular during winters season in India and Pakistan. It is rich in Protein and Fiber as it aids muscle and gut health. It is often cooked with Potatoes and served with Rice. It is good for health while it makes your meals and salads more delicious. Here is the Easy Recipe: Wash first and Boil 1 cup Cholia with 2 spoon Moong dal in 2 cups Water & 1 spoon Salt. Pressure cook for 10 mins on slow flame. TADKA In a Kadhai, smoke 4 tbs Mustard Oil. Reduce flame, add 1 tsp Crushed Cumin. Add, 2 diced Potatoes. Increase flame to mid. Cook until light golden Brown in colour. Reduce flame again, add 1 tsp Turmeric, 1 tsp Red Chilli, 1 tsp Salt and Ginger Garlic Chilli paste (Ginger-1inch, Garlic-6, Green Chillies-3). Also a dash of Water. Cook until oil separates. Now add, 1 Onion + 2 Tomato Puree and a dash of water again. Stir, then cover and cook for 5 mins on slow flame. Uncover lid, add 1 tbs Garam Masala with Boiled Dal Cholia with water. Adjust Salt. Increase flame to mid., stir & cook for 5 mins until Dal dissolves completely. Finish with Fresh Coriander. Serve with Rice and Raita, add a squeeze of Lime juice, a spoon of Desi Ghee.
