It is a safer option that a regular straight bar deadlift from the floor (not that we have anything against it as we use it a lot at Vigor Ground Fitness and Performance). I take Kelsey through some coaching cues to make the lift the safest and boost performance the most. While we're always focused on coaching the person in front of us, and everyone is different so we'd adapt to the client and what needs to be corrected, these coaching cues work in most situations and we've found from our experience that they work great for improving safety and performance.
