In this video, I guide you through a practice of Anapana Sati, or breath awareness meditation. The practice begins with guidance on where to be aware and what to be aware of, including how to manage distractions in mind, body, or elsewhere. There are periods of long silence and brief guidance throughout the meditation. The meditation in this video lasts 30 minutes. Following the meditation, at the end of the video, I was inspired to do a short dharma talk, or talk on philosophy and some of the why behind the practice. If you're interested in deepening your meditation practice, number 1- practice practice practice! The more time you spend practicing, the further the practice will take you. Number 2- Vipassana is the meditation technique I practice and there are Vipassana centers all throughout the world. If you're interested in attending a 10-day silent meditation retreat, you can find all their information on their website dhamma.org.
