In this video, I join Cecil Young on a visit to the Geneva African-American Cemetery in Geneva, Georgia. Known as Geneva #2 on tax records, this cemetery holds a significant yet somber history. Among the graves, we locate the distressing sight of an open ground-level vault, which has broken open at some point in the past. Beyond the cleared area, we uncover additional forgotten graves hidden within the woods. This visit offers a poignant reminder of the importance of preserving and remembering cemeteries like this, which tell the stories of generations past and the communities they belonged to.
