Malaysia Vlog: Halal Food & Iftar in the Clouds at Genting Highlands 🇲🇾 This Malaysia vlog takes you to Genting Highlands, one of Malaysia’s most famous destinations! Known for its breathtaking mountain views, luxury outlet shopping, and famous cable car ride, this place is often called “Asia’s Vegas” because it’s home to Malaysia’s only casino—but we came here for something much better: Eid shopping, halal food, and an unforgettable Ramadan iftar in the clouds! Help me buy toys for the kids of Kuala Lumpur ❤️ buymeacoffee.com/Islamlewis Exploring Genting Highlands Premium Outlet We started our day at Genting Highlands Premium Outlet, a huge luxury shopping center filled with top international brands. I was amazed by the massive selection of shops, from Nike, Vans, and Adidas to high-end brands like Coach and Michael Kors. While exploring, I found a BAPE store and decided to treat myself after all the hard work in these daily Ramadan vlogs. I picked up a BAPE t-shirt for 300 MYR, but then I found two more at another shop—I couldn’t resist! My wife also splurged on a new Charles & Keith luxury bag. Taking the Genting Highlands Cable Car – Breathtaking Views! After shopping, we hopped on the Genting Highlands Cable Car, one of the most scenic rides in Malaysia! I shared details about ticket prices, how to get there, and the amazing rainforest views along the way. If you visit Malaysia, this is definitely one of the best things to do! Halal Food & Iftar in the Clouds At the top, we explored the massive indoor entertainment city, which includes a theme park, shopping malls, and so many restaurants. Finding halal food was tricky, but we finally discovered a halal food market for iftar. I grabbed a Malaysian curry, while my wife got noodles, and we broke our Ramadan fast in the clouds. The experience was surreal—iftar with a view, surrounded by the cool mountain air! Genting Highlands Theme Park & Final Thoughts After iftar, we explored the indoor theme park, and it blew my mind. I would’ve loved this as a kid—there were roller coasters inside the shopping mall, which I had never seen before! However, I also noticed many carnival games that felt like gambling, so I avoided them. There were lots of non-halal food options and expensive clothing stores, making me feel that Genting Highlands isn’t the best place for Muslim travelers. Is Genting Highlands Worth Visiting for Muslims? Genting Highlands is a beautiful place with amazing views, luxury shopping, and fun attractions. But for Muslims, the lack of halal food, high prices, and casino culture might make it less appealing. Would I come back? Maybe just for the views and cable car ride! Would you visit Genting Highlands during Ramadan? Let me know in the comments!
