This song wasn't entirely in my comfort zone, but I enjoyed DDLC so much that I simply had to. I was actually going to do it back in January when I first played the game, but the song wasn't quite clicking so I shelved it for a couple months. Originally it was just a straight acoustic and vocal thing, but when I came back to it, I started playing around with some synths and I really like where it went from there. I found this VST a while back called "Dexed" which is an extremely good (and free) plugin that emulates a Yamaha DX-7. I used it for all of the synths in this song. You can find hundreds of premade patches online so the possibilities are many. I sequenced all of the synth stuff in my DAW and opted not to film myself playing along with it on keyboard 'cause I thought it would be weird since I literally just clicked the notes in. I purposely changed the lyrics to seem like the song is sung by the player to Monika. I was sort of poking fun of the "waifu-ism" (is that a term?) that fans of this game have toward the characters. Anyhoo, I hope you enjoy this one. I had fun with it. Lyrics and composition by Dan Salvato
