La Cremerie du glacier d'Argentiere - a well known ice climbing venue in winter, and where there is ice, there is water... I had never been here in summer before, so i thought i would have an explore to see if there was any potential for a quick dip in the river or one of the waterfalls. It is indeed possible to dunk your head into the cold water of the waterfalls, but the main river itself should be avoided like the plague! Words wont do the danger justice, so you will have to just watch and see for yourselves. Disclaimer: Wild swimming in glacial rivers in height of summer is inherently dangerous, especially where hydro-schemes are involved. I had read all the warning signs and was well aware of the risks, and ultimately i made the right decision, otherwise i wouldn't be here to upload this video. Anybody exploring such rivers, does so at their own risk, and should have the ability to carry out their own risk assessments, and most importantly, should be willing to say no!
