For the 10th episode in this series i have finally ventured further off of the beaten track, all be it somewhere still accessed by lifts. Lac du Brevent is less than an hours walk to and from the top of the Brevent cable car station. You could choose to walk there from the valley bottom if you wish, but if you have a season pass, you may as well use it! This is the most accessible of the lakes in the Aiguilles Rouges, but still offers plenty of peace and tranquility. The water is not particularly cold, and gets all the sun going, just dont be surprised if your feet get nibbled by the fish!
