Timeline Events Llangollen Railway 6880 Betton Grange Tuesday 8th April 2025 Work to build the 81st Great Western Railway Grange, completed at Tyseley Locomotive Works in 2024, was started at the Llangollen Railway and in April 2025 the locomotive returned to Llangollen for the first time in steam, set to appear at the Branch Line Weekend from 11th to 13th April 2025. On Tuesday 8th April the Grange hauled its first train on the railway (having previously completed a gauging run) during the Timeline Events photo charter with the day taking in many photo locations along the line against the backdrop of beautiful North Wales scenery, with the steam loco paired with four chocolate and cream passenger Mk1 carriages.
