Please join us for the Lecture II of the Virtual Symposium on St. Severus of Antioch by Fr. Dr. Jacob Joseph, on Friday, February 12th, 2021 at 9:00 PM ET. This lecture series is organized by Urho, The Way, in honor of the feast day of Patriarch St. Severus the Great of Antioch ♰ 538. Fr. Jacob examines the Christology of St. Severus of Antioch and its relevance in the context of Indian social margins. In particular, Severus's miaphysite Christological position and its appropriation to today's social context highlight this talk. This discourse draws our attention to the letters exchanged between St. Severus and Julian of Halicarnassus on the issue of Christ's body. Those interested in the miaphysite Christology and the issue of social margins will benefit from this discussion. Fr. Jacob is a priest of the Syriac Orthodox Church and researcher whose interest focuses on Patristic, Liturgical, Missional, Contextual Theology, Syriac theology, and Indian theology. In 2020, Fr.
