In this creative and interactive TEDx talk, Andrew Shoben turns the Royal Albert Hall into a giant music box. Shoben is the founder of greyworld, an art collective with a mission to transform "grey zones" in city spaces with an engaging mix of art and technology. Where these spaces were previously without function and purpose, greyworld seeks to fill them with imaginative, thought-provoking, magical installations. Since 1993, greyworld has become world-renowned for heralding a new era of public art, primarily about play, and encouraging some form of creative expression in urban spaces that usually exclude or ignore it. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
