Since I happened to have all of the main Leica cameras with me (the Q3 43 and SL3 arrived too late) I thought I would shoot a video going over the three pillars of the Leica camera system: M, SL, Q. I also included the new D-Lux 8 because it's also an important camera for Leica, a gateway camera into one of the three pillars. If you're thinking about moving into Leica, one of these cameras will serve you well, as long as you understand what you're getting yourself into. Choose well. One great option I talk about throughout this video is buying a used Leica. According to Leica themselves, they encourage people who cannot afford the latest and greatest, to consider buying a pre-owned Leica. Unlike other manufacturers, Leica have their own retail stores where they are willing to buy back your old Leica gear and help you purchase new gear. Other retailers specialize in trading in Leica gear and upgrading or downgrading as well.
