Revisiting these stages with mindful awareness can support greater ease in the body and help soften habitual physical and life patterns. As a daily self-care ritual, even a few minutes of 5 Stages practice can: • realign and strengthen the body • increase energy flow • calm and restore the nervous system • support physical, emotional and mental wellbeing 🌿 About this guided practice This is a floor-based somatic practice. You may like to have a blanket, cushions or knee pads nearby for comfort. You’ll be gently guided to tune into your body and move at your own pace through the five developmental stages: • embryonic • creeping • crawling • standing • walking You’ll be invited to sense for pleasure, comfort and ease as you move — trusting that your body already knows how to do this. The practice is bookended by body awareness and body gratitude, leaving you feeling more connected, grounded and at ease in body, mind and spirit. 💛 About Sophie Marsh Sophie Marsh is a Nia International Faculty Trainer based in Brisbane, Australia.
