Another winter storm rolled through Nova Scotia. Running out of places put it. The snow started off blowing and heavy, but it was packy just enough to cling to the sides of the trees, creating that textured, layered look. I had spotted this location the day before and crossed my fingers the snow would stick long enough until I got back the next day. When I drove past I thought it was much more wide open and “clean”. It was more cluttered than I’d thought, but still pretty open for Nova Scotia standards. In this video, I work the same scene with three very different lenses: • Nikkor 20mm prime • Nikkor 24–120mm • Tamron 150-600mm Telephoto Each one tells a completely different story. Some images stay true to the scene, while others lean into more artistic interpretation with some artistic liberties taken. Of the images I created with each, which do you prefer? Thanks for coming along on another cold (but rewarding) Nova Scotia adventure. 0:00 - Intro 1:24 - the area 2:36 - Nikkor 24-120mm ƒ4 6:00 - Nikkor 20mm ƒ1.8 8:41 - Tamron 150-600mm G2 11:20- Back to the 20mm 11:51 - Last go with the 24-120mm 13:02 - Outro SAY HI ON SOCIAL! instagram.com/chirskellyphotography9 Facebook/chriskellyphotography9 website: chriskellyphotography.ca
