In this week's YouTube video, I'm exploring a very simple idea. For a while now I've been incorporating bronze specks into my clay, yet for the most part they appear at random in the body of the finished vessels. I quite like the effect, mostly, although at times it can feel messy and disorderly, which distracts from the carefully finished and refined pots. SO, in this film I'm just discussing the idea, and demonstrating how, I might implement these bronze specks intentionally, as I've had some pots fire recently that were simply gorgeous, due to the fact that these red orbs lined up, creating a subtle decorative quality to the vessels. I'd love to hear what you think and whether you not you prefer these red flecks being spontaneous or intentional. Thanks for watching! Thanks for sending me the metals, Alex!
