Edit 24th Feb: Updated for Harrowstorm. Not much has changed, but sustain is easier so expect slightly higher DPS! This is a Magicka Nightblade PVE build and Iron Atronach Parse for the Harrowstorm/Dragonhold patch. The Magblade toolkit is naturally geared towards strong direct damage. In Dragonhold, DOTs are a lot less influential now relative to how they were previously in Scalebreaker, and so this class ends up being more in favour than in recent times. Those players who enjoyed the Magblade style of play from the previous 2 years should also enjoy this one! Magicka Nightblades will be really valuable in many group compositions, where they will be able to provide strong burst damage in fights like vAS, and now with much stronger cleave damage than before with the improvement of Twisting Path. They can also offer great group support with Master Architect. -- I am using the Max Magicka/Magicka Regen food, with 64 points into Magicka for all Magicka Setups in these rotations. Gear used here: 5x Mother's Sorrow Body, 5x Siroria front-barred, 2x Zaan. (See build screenshot for full details). The above is used simply for purposes of comparison against other classes, in this test environment. Race used: Altmer Good alternatives: Breton, Dunmer, Khajiit In real raid situations, consider Clockwork Citrus Fillet or Artaeum Pickled Fish Bowl as food alternatives. Other gear that is perfectly suitable for different situations include: False God, Spell Strategist, Burning Spellweave, New Moon Acolyte, Master Architect CMX Parse from Video -- https://i.imgur.com/xDechQL.png CMX Build (Gear, Skills, CPs) from Video -- https://i.imgur.com/Ykpl3Kq.png -- Rotation: This is a fully dynamic rotation. The general focus is to keep up your DOTs to a reasonable level without reapplying too early and try to make the most out of the burst phases. The general priority is to fire a bow proc as soon as possible, as well as refreshing Merciless Resolve whenever required. Beyond this, keeping up Unstable Wall is most important. Twisting Path, Barbed Trap, Crippling Grasp, Degeneration and Shades can be then reapplied when possible, before reverting to Elemental Weapon, which is our spammable. The priority shifts, however, when Soul Harvest is used. Prior to using Soul Harvest, it is beneficial to ensure a reasonable duration remaining on your DOTs. If there are DOTs with 1 or maybe 2 seconds left, it can be better to refresh these DOTs first. Once you use Soul Harvest, you'll get the most out of it if you use only your Direct Damage attacks for the upcoming 6 seconds (Elemental Weapon, Bow Procs). Here I try and give as many examples of Incap Strike usage as possible (they are probably not all perfect though, and for sure you shouldn't get too hung up on that). In execute, my preference this patch is to cast all DOTs one last time then drop both Crippling Grasp and Degeneration. In most cases, you can drop Shades too, but if you can get a full duration of it, you can keep it up. This leaves Path, Wall and Trap. Impale for the rest of the time. Sparrow's static rotation - • [Dragonhold] Breton Magblade 85k - 2 line ... -- About alternative skills that I did not use in this video: Mystic Orb - a must-have skill if you want to include more AOE damage into your setup. Upsides also include a nice group synergy, but the downside is the high resource cost. Flame Reach - if you wanted to add another single-target DOT. Provides some extra sources of Burning damage and cost is relatively cheap, but damage isn't as good as some other options. Inner Light (front-barred) - if you want a simpler rotation, you could drop one of the DOTs (for example Degeneration, then moving Twisting Path to backbar) and include Inner Light on the front bar. Shield (e.g Harness Magicka) - first choice would be to replace Degeneration if you wanted to include a shield. Swallow Soul - an alternative spammable to Elemental Weapon. More or less just as strong too. Gives healing when used, and also allows you to safely drop Crippling Grasp (regarding Siphoning's Magicka Flood Max Magicka passives). Concealed Weapon - another spammable alternative. It has a stronger tooltip and slightly cheaper than the other spammable choices. This is a melee skill, so can be a pretty good alternative in fights where you can be in melee range. Elemental Blockade - using this morph instead of Unstable Wall is also a pretty good option. This option offers more cleave and allows you to have a stronger execute phase IF there comes to be a decision on whether to refresh this skill or not. Channelled Acceleration - if you prefer this over Barbed Trap, this is fine. Magicka sustain will suffer a little but might be easier to use in some cases. --- Song: Kevin Silvester - I Owe Myself (ft. Venus Vargas) Link: • Kevin Silvester - I Owe Myself (ft. Venus ...
