In this video, I share 10 rules to overcome anxiety and depression. I briefly share my personal experience with anxiety and depression and how it led me to falling in love with studying the human brain. I share my journey from suicidal thoughts, to feeling genuinely happy on most days. These are the 10 rules I have developed to deal with negative emotions. Hopefully by openly sharing my experience dealing with mental health in this video, it can help at least one person dealing with a difficult season of their life to overcome anxiety and depression. This video was partly inspired by Doc Amen, who runs AmenClinics. Doc Amen talks about ANTs - automatic negative thoughts, and i share my perspective on dealing with these in this video.
